LaginGhai handles personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you control.
What we collect
Identification (name, DOB, gender), contact (email, phone), preferences, profile photos, astrology data if you choose to enter it, and usage metadata (IP, device, timestamps) for fraud prevention.
How we use it
Strictly to provide the matrimonial service — matchmaking, communication, moderation, payments. We do not sell data, and we do not send marketing to non-consenting users.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you logged in (HttpOnly). A CSRF cookie protects form submissions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies by default.
Your right to export
Per the DPDP Act 2023, you can download a complete copy of your data from Profile Settings → Privacy → Export my data. The file arrives as JSON within 24 hours.
Your right to erasure
Profile Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Your profile is anonymised immediately and fully erased after a 30-day cooling window (legal retention for fraud-prevention records where applicable).
